The volume on this goes wild at times, when their youthful exuberance calls for a WOOOOO HOOO! so mind your speakers and watch this cute and funny look at small town life as lived by two unique individuals!

I want that red wig!

imageWow, it was so wonderful performing alongside all those cool actors on the stage of the Silver Screen Theatre in the gorgeous Pacific Design Center! We did our show as part of the Algonquin West Hollywood Literary Award Soiree fundraiser for PEN in the Classroom, with piano by Wayne Moore and narrated by Ken Page as Noel Coward!

Now, just to be a nerd, I’m going to tell you what each person is famous for that I think is cool. They are all VERY accomplished people, but I’ll only mention the things I like, haha. I am going to be a stupid teenage girl here, which I usually don’t do in print, but what the hey!

Ken Page was Oogie Boogie in “The Nightmare Before Christmas”! OMG, I did a play with Oogie Boogie!

Adrienne Barbeau was the hottie known for her unstoppable boobs in Cannonball Run!

Maxwell Caulfield and Juliette Mills were the married couple whose lives I invaded in “Blithe Spirit”, and they were absolute dears to me. Their relationship was so obviously deep and loving that I was taken aback and reconsidered my current hopelessness toward romance. He will be 50 years old next month, but let me tell you… with full respect to his fabulous wife… I must acknowledge that he is FIIINNEE. If I found myself a 50 year old man who looked and behaved himself like Maxwell, I wouldn’t let go, either. Juliette is the sister of Hayley Mills (OMG so cool!) and plays a witch on the soap Passions.

imageLiz Torrez did an incredible manifestation of Merlena Dietrich, and has been on tons of cool shows, but what I really love about her is that she looked like this back in the day:(See photo at left)

Hilarious Tribute Video by Riot and Anger

Categories: Diary • Audio/Video Clips • Product Reviews • In Print • Mentions

Dynamic YouTube comedy duo Riot & Anger do a hilarious tribute video referencing several of my latest YouTube vidz! You kinda have to have seen the originals to get the jokes: they reference the Bubble Bath Blog, Ghost Rider and Bad Questions. Ha! Leave them some comments, they’re cool.

Just as they warned me in the “How not to be a bad role model” handbook that is given to every actress in Hollywood, I see that my smoking onscreen as “Tracey” in “Ghost Rider” has inspired these young people to smoke in real life. That’s 10 demerits for me, sigh. Just so everyone knows, “Tracey"s cigarette was made from a sheet of white paper Scotch taped into a cylinder and colored with brown and yellow sharpies to simulate a filter. But still, BAD role model! BAD!

image“The City of West Hollywood will be presenting the 7th annual West Hollywood Book Fair on Sunday, September 28, 2008 and for the 2nd year we are also hosting the Algonquin West Hollywood Literary Award Soiree the night before (Saturday, September 27) at the Pacific Design Center.

The Algonquin West Hollywood Literary Award Soiree serves as a benefit for PEN in the Classroom (a writing program for underserved youth in LA County) and we will also honor legendary author Luis Rodriuez for his significant and enduring artistic contributions to the literary community.  In addition, a highlight of the evening will be a staged reading of “Noel Coward and Friends” (with Calpernia reading the part of “Elvira” in ”Blithe Spirit” conceived and directed by actor/theatre artist Michael Kearns...and we have current commitments to participate from actors Calpernia Addams, Marin Landau, Adrienne Barbeau, Maxwell Caulfield, Gordon Thomson Liz Torrez and Ken Page and will be confirming others shortly.”
